....the campus week with our e-pedagogy students will start! I'm excited about meeting our new participants and do hope we will have a good time together even though we will be a very small group. Starting the course on a Saturday and working on Sunday is not ideal, but still a good solution since several people could not stay the whole next week. So we will work and then do some sightseeing in the afternoon. I hope the weather will be good as it is to day.

I'd like to add a timely new commentary here as I can see this blog is following my thoughts for seeking out researchers to partipate in my forthcoming book "ePedagogy n Online Learning: New Developments in Web Mediated Human Computer Interaction"

Following the successful 2007 book, "Enhancing Learning Through Human Computer Interaction", I am currently calling for chapter proposals for a new, updated peer-reviewed book. ePedagogy in Online Learning: New Developments in Web Mediated Human Computer Interaction will provide a useful handbook on adopting interactive Web 2.0 tools that promote effective HCI pedagogical practice for education and training. The main purpose is to provide a design manual for the novice educational-HCI designer.

Web 2.0 tools are often described in an endless list of discussion or blogging type tools, ignoring the need for finding new ways to improve our ePedagogical strategies. The chapters in this book will focus interest on e-Learning best practice in corporate performance that is applicable to the education sector.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a two-three page chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of their proposal chapter. Proposals are due by Monday 14 March.

Further information and guidelines are available online

I invite you to submit a chapter or to pass on this message to your colleagues and followers.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
